Boys & Girls Classic Fit Trousers – Advice for Parents April 2021
Over the past 5 or 6 years we have monitored activity on Boys & Girls Classic Fit Trousers. Whilst there are clearly an element of school society who require a roomier garment, over 95% of secondary school children don’t require Classic Fit Trousers.
What we have observed is that parents are sometimes unsure what trousers they need for their child, even when their child is currently wearing Slim Fit Trousers and have always used that style of trousers.
The result of purchasing incorrect trousers means we see a high number of returns of Classic Fit Trousers which when badged, as they are for most of our secondary schools means we have an ever growing stock of badged classic fit trousers, which is unsustainable, costly and not particularly good for the environment.
We have with a very heavy heart reached the decision that classic fit trousers which are badged, can no longer be returned for refund or exchange, and we would urge parents who are unsure of what they need to contact us first to get advice on whether classic fit trousers are the best option for their child.
Where possible we would strongly recommend making an appointment to come to our shop in York where trousers can be tried on, especially as we have a full range of the available trousers options but we are also willing to help parents by sending plain unbadged garments for trying on and once it is established that Classic Fit Trousers are required, parents can then place an order with confidence.
